"Within the various main categories, the works are divided according to a systematic plan of the subject areas, an abbreviated copy of this systematic plan is stuck to this document, and a reference copy is also found throughout the library, at the beginning of each shelf.

The same system according to subject areas (1 - 99) is used:
- for the main category A
- for all country groups of the main category B
- for all national legal orders of the main category C
- for the works of main category E, with differences for Islamic law (EC)

ISO 3166 Country Codes

"ISO 3166 is the International Standard for country codes and codes for their subdivisions. The purpose of ISO 3166 is to define internationally recognised codes of letters and/or numbers that we can use when we refer to countries and subdivisions. However, it does not define the names of countries – this information comes from United Nations sources (Terminology Bulletin Country Names and the Country and Region Codes for Statistical Use maintained by the United Nations Statistics Divisions)."

"TERMPOST is the Universal Postal Union's official terminology database created from the manual Vocabulaire polyglotte, available on paper from 1952 to 2003. It contains data in 8 languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Definitions are currently provided in English and French only. TERMPOST contains a selection of postal terms and expressions drawn from the UPU Acts and publications. It also includes everyday vocabulary used within the postal sector."

"TERMDAT is an extensive multilingual specialist dictionary, providing a versatile aid for communication, text composition and translation. The database is also a means for recording and making available Swiss legal and administrative terminology along with other terminology from the public sector. Terms are available in Switzerland’s four national languages – German, French, Italian and Romansh – and in English. (...) The terms are recorded in thematic glossaries compiled in collaboration with experts from the Federal Administration or from the private sector.

The Glarner Bibliography has been published annually since 1996. It shows the literature of Glaronensia.

"The goal of this project is to develop a database for historical persons, places and concepts - and relationships between them - for the collection of Swiss sources of law." The database is intended to allow all relevant information (ie, Which are contained in the printed registers) in a structured form, and it should also be possible to produce printed registers for individual volumes from these data.
