Virtual International Authority File

"The Virtual International Authority File (VIAF) is an international service designed to provide convenient access to the world's major name authority files. Its creators envision the VIAF as a building block for the Semantic Web to enable switching of the displayed form of names for persons to the preferred language and script of the Web user. VIAF began as a joint project with the Library of Congress (LC), the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek (DNB), the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BNF) and OCLC.

Národní autority České republiky

"Portál Národní autority ČR soustředí na jednom místě zatím mnohdy roztříštěné informace o problematice (v nejširším slova smyslu) tvorby a využívání souborů národních autorit všech typů.
Jmenné autority zahrnují soubor personálních a korporativních autorit (názvy institucí a akcí), autorit rodů, rodin a autorit typu autor/název pro využití ve jmenném i věcném zpracování dokumentů.

"The portal of the National Authority of the Czech Republic focuses on a fragmented information on the issue (in the broadest sense) of the creation and use of sets of national authorities of all types.
Nominated authorities include a set of personnel and corporate authorities (names of institutions and actions), gender, family, and author / author authority for use in both document and document processing.

Catàleg d’autoritats de noms i títols de Catalunya

"El Catàleg d’autoritats de noms i títols de Catalunya (CANTIC) és un catàleg d’autoritats cooperatiu que es realitza en el Catàleg Col·lectiu de les Universitats de Catalunya (CCUC) i està liderat per la Biblioteca de Catalunya.
El seu objectiu és normalitzar els punts d’accés dels catàlegs bibliogràfics, millorar la comunicació entre els diferents catàlegs i sobretot afavorir la cerca i la recuperació de la informació.
El seu abast són registres d’autoritats dels tipus següents:
• Noms de persones i de famílies
• Noms d’entitat
• Noms de congrés

"The catalog of names and titles authorities of Catalonia (canticle) is a catalog of cooperative authorities carried out in the Catalog of the Universities of Catalonia (CCUC) and is led by the Library of Catalonia.
Its aim is to standardize access points of bibliographic catalogs, improve communication between the various catalogs and especially encourage the search and retrieval of information.
His records are available to authorities following types:
• Names of individuals and families
• Names of body
• Names of Congress
• Uniform Titles

Llista d'encapçalaments de noms i títols de la Biblioteca de Catalunya

"La Llista d’encapçalaments de noms i títols de la Biblioteca de Catalunya (LENOTI) conté els registres d’autoritat de nom, nom-títol i títol emprats per a la catalogació dels documents. Els registres d'autoritat poden incloure, a més de l'encapçalament acceptat, els encapçalaments no acceptats, els encapçalaments relacionats i les notes sobre l’ús de l’encapçalament.

"The list heading names and titles of the Library of Catalonia (Lenôtre) contains authority records name, title, and name-title used for the classification of documents. The authority records can include, in addition to the heading, headings not accepted related headings and notes about the use of the header.
Cataloging rules used by the library to choose and shape of name headings, name-title and title are the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (Part II). The authorities used format is the MARC 21 Format for Authority Data.

Realfagstermer

"Realfagstermer er et kontrollert, pre-koordinert emneordsvokabular som i hovedsak dekker naturvitenskap, matematikk og informatikk. Emneordene er publisert som frie, åpne data, og inneholder per januar 2015 rundt 15 000 emneord som kan brukes frittstående, eller kombinert til strenger (nærmere 16 000 strenger per januar 2015)."

"Realfagstermer is a multilingual, controlled vocabulary of pre-coordinated subject headings which mainly covers the physical sciences, mathematics and computer science. It is maintained by the University of Oslo Science Library in collaboration with the University of Bergen Science Library, and covers mainly the physical sciences, mathematics and computer science. As of January 2015, the vocabulary consists of approximately 15 000 single concept headings, and about 16 000 compound headings ("subject strings"), published as open data for everyone to use freely."

Répertoire des Autorités-Sujet de l'UQAM

"RASUQAM (Répertoire des Autorités-Sujet de l'UQAM) est un thésaurus encyclopédique développé depuis 1994 par le Service des bibliothèques de l'Université du Québec à Montréal et est utilisé pour l'indexation de ses collections. RASUQAM compte environ 47 000 descripteurs, comprenant des noms communs, des noms d'organismes, des titres, des noms géographiques, des termes chronologiques, des descripteurs de forme et quelques descripteurs non contrôlés."

"Le RVM est un thésaurus encyclopédique partiellement bilingue dont les termes s'articulent les uns aux autres selon une syntaxe particulière. (...) Le RVM, d'abord une adaptation partielle des Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) et complète des Canadian Subject Headings (CSH) de Bibliothèque et Archives Canada, est développé dans le respect des particularités de la langue française. Le RVM compte aussi des vedettes-matière dites originales c'est-à-dire sans équivalent anglais. Elles rendent compte de réalités ignorées par les listes anglaises.

Library of Congress Classification

"The Library of Congress Classification (LCC) is a classification system that was first developed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries to organize and arrange the book collections of the Library of Congress. Over the course of the twentieth century, the system was adopted for use by other libraries as well, especially large academic libraries in the United States. It is currently one of the most widely used library classification systems in the world.

Nuovo Soggettario Thesaurus

"Il Nuovo soggettario, curato dalla BNCF, è lo strumento italiano di indicizzazione per soggetto. Dopo la conclusione di una prima fase sperimentale e la pubblicazione del prototipo (gennaio 2007), il sistema è sottoposto ad evoluzione e costanti verifiche anche per garantirne un buon grado di coerenza, manutenzione e colloquio con i propri utenti. Il Thesaurus multidisciplinare viene via via incrementato tramite aggiornamenti semestrali e grazie alla partecipazione di altre istituzioni.

"The Schools Online Thesaurus (ScOT) provides a controlled vocabulary of terms used in Australian and New Zealand schools. It encompasses all subject areas as well as terms describing educational and administrative processes. The thesaurus links non-preferred terms to curriculum terms. It also relates terms in a browsable structure. These features make ScOT an ideal vocabulary to integrate into search mechanisms of learning management systems."
