Die Bibliographie zur Geschichte Schlesiens verzeichnet Erträge der historisch arbeitenden Wissenschaften zur Vergangenheit der Region und erfüllt damit eine wissenschaftliche sowie eine wissenschaftspopuläre Funktion. Berücksichtigt werden sowohl Monografien wie auch Beiträge aus Sammelbänden und Zeitschriften (außer der Tagespresse und Wochenzeitungen). Eingang in die Datenbank finden vorrangig geschichtswissenschaftliche Publikationen sowie Beiträge anderer Wissensschaftsdisziplinen, die historische Inhalte betreffen.

The bibliography on the history of Silesia records the history of the historically working sciences on the past of the region and thus fulfills a scientific and a scientific-popular function. Both monographs and contributions from anthologies and journals (except for the daily press and weekly newspapers) are considered. Input into the database is primarily the history of scientific publications as well as contributions from other scientific disciplines concerning historical content.
