Librarianship and Documentation Thesaurus

"The first version of this Thesaurus of Library and Documentation was published three years ago, specifically in the spring of 2002. Since its publication, this thesaurus has been used in the indexing tasks of the various CINDOC databases and in the Assignment of materials of the articles collected in the journal portal Temaria, which allowed to gather the comments and suggestions of the specialized staff on the terminology used and its hierarchical presentation.These suggestions have served to better develop the version now presented .

With respect to the one presented in 2002, in the present version of the Thesaurus of Library and Documentation the following changes have been made: the number of terms in the different thematic areas has increased; Some terms have been relocated in the alphabetical and hierarchical indexes; The presentation of some descriptors has been modified; And more outreach notes have been added to better determine the meaning and use of the terms. A new annex has also been added with the Spanish and Catalan equivalents of the descriptors. "

"La primera versión de este Tesauro de Biblioteconomía y Documentación se publicó hace ya tres años, concretamente en la primavera de 2002. Desde su publicación, este tesauro ha sido utilizado en las tareas de indización de las diversas bases de datos del CINDOC y en la asignación de materias de los artículos recogidos en el portal de revistas Temaria, lo cual ha permitido recoger los comentarios y sugerencias del personal especializado sobre la terminología empleada y su presentación jerárquica. Dichas sugerencias han servido para un mejor desarrollo de la versión que ahora se presenta.

Respecto a aquella presentada en 2002, en la presente versión del Tesauro de Biblioteconomía y Documentación se han realizado los siguientes cambios: se ha incrementado el número de términos en las distintas áreas temáticas; se han reubicado algunos términos en los índices alfabético y jerárquico; se ha modificado la presentación de algunos descriptores; y se han añadido más notas de alcance para determinar mejor el significado y uso de los términos. Se ha añadido también un nuevo anexo con las equivalencias en castellano y catalán de los descriptores."
