"Generic terms (Higher Terms) associated with specific keywords are indicated by the use of the abbreviation 'h.t.'. This means that whenever the specific term appears in the file, the corresponding Higher Term(s) will also appear and can be searched instead of the specific keyword if a broader search is desired. The abbreviation 's.a.' (see also) is used to indicate a related term which may also be worth considering in a search. Some terms have been altered since the start of the database and this is indicated by the use of the word 'was'.
