Folk religion of villages in Korea:Volume1,2

Folk Religion of Villages in Korea (Volume1,2) is a survey of nearly 150 folk scholars nationwide on a national scale and unit of Korean village beliefs at the National Folk Museum of Korea in 2005 and 2006. In 2005, the range of time was limited to the Lunar New Year's Day, and village beliefs that took place nationwide at the same time were investigated. In 2006, literature was investigated based on previously published reports, papers, and other data collections, and the status of village beliefs in Korea was identified through a survey for the deficiencies.

The field survey of the first full moon of January 2005 and the current status of village beliefs in 2006 can encompass both the public and diachronic aspects of the current village community beliefs. The first nationwide village faith survey attempted by the National Folk Museum could be the starting point for another folk field survey. Based on these surveys, you will be able to take a step forward in drawing a folk map.

The survey report on village beliefs in Korea published this time consists of 139 village survey reports based on the temporal range of the 2005 Lunar New Year's Day and the spatial range of the whole country, and a current status table on whether village beliefs continue, focusing on regional literature data published up to 2006. Due to the vastness of the data, the status table was published on CD-ROM, not on the paper.

한국의 마을신앙:상,하(Folk religion of villages in Korea:Volume1,2)는 국립민속박물관에서 2005년과 2006년에 걸쳐 한국의 마을신앙을 전국적인 규모와 단위로 150명 가까운 전국 민속학자들의 인적 네트워크를 구성하여 조사한 것이다. 2005년에는 시간의 범위를 정월 대보름으로 한정시켜서 같은 시간에 전국적으로 동시에 이루어지는 마을신앙을 조사하였다. 2006년에는 기존에 발간된 보고서, 논문, 기타자료집 등을 토대로 하여 문헌을 조사하고 부족한 부분은 설문조사를 통하여 한국의 마을신앙현황을 파악하였다.

2005년 정월 대보름 현장조사와 2006년 마을신앙 현황조사는 현재 전승되는 마을공동체신앙에 대하여 공시적인 측면과 통시적인 측면을 아우를 수 있게 되었다. 국립민속박물관에서 처음 시도한 전국적인 규모의 마을신앙 조사는 또다른 민속 분야 조사의 시발점이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 조사들을 토대로 하여 민속지도를 그려나가는 데 한걸음 나아갈 수 있을 것이다.

이번에 발간된 한국의 마을신앙 조사보고서는 2005년도 정월 대보름이라는 시간적인 범위와 전국이라는 공간적인 범위를 바탕으로 하여 조사된 139개의 마을조사 보고서와 2006년도 당시까지 출판된 지역별 문헌자료를 중심으로 조사된 마을신앙의 지속여부에 대해 조사한 현황표로 이루어져 있다. 현황표의 경우는 자료의 방대함으로 인해 지면이 아닌 CD-ROM에 실었다.
