Taekwondo Terminology

The Taekwondo Terminology is a complete revision of the Taekwondo Technical Dictionary published by Kukkiwon in 2010.

The 215-page dictionary summarized the terms by dividing the Taekwondo skill system diagram into △ attack techniques (scratching, stabbing, shooting, hitting, kicking, breaking, turning over), △ defense techniques (blocking, subtracting, avoiding) △ assistive techniques (standing, jumping, catching, pushing, preparation posture, special items).

The term dictionary contains not only the terms and meanings of each technology, but also examples in which the terms can be used in various ways and useful information not presented in the meaning solving.

In particular, the institute tried to help readers understand by including photos of members of the Taekwondo Demonstration Team of Kukkiwon, which embodied terms in the dictionary of terms.

In addition, all technologies posted in the term dictionary can be checked by video using QR codes.

태권도 용어 사전(Taekwondo Terminology)은 2010년 국기원에서 발간한 태권도기술용어집의 전면개정판이다.

총 215쪽 분량의 용어사전은 태권도 기술 체계도를 △공격기술(지르기, 찌르기, 찍기, 치기, 차기, 꺾기, 넘기기) △방어기술(막기, 빼기, 피하기) △보조기술(서기, 딛기, 뛰기, 잡기, 밀기, 준비자세, 특수품) 등으로 구분해 용어를 정리했다.

용어사전은 각 기술의 용어와 뜻풀이는 물론 용어가 다양하게 활용될 수 있는 예시, 뜻풀이에 제시하지 않은 유용한 정보까지 담았다.

특히 연구소는 용어사전에 용어를 형상화한 국기원 태권도시범단 단원들의 사진을 수록, 독자들의 이해를 돕기 위해 노력했다.

이밖에도 QR코드를 활용해 용어사전에 게재된 모든 기술들을 영상으로 확인할 수 있도록 했다.
