Classification of Outdoor Advertisements

Classification of Outdoor Advertisements is a classification of outdoor advertisements under Article 3 of the Enforcement Decree of the Outdoor Advertisement Act, and is a display method for five types of advertisements, such as advertisements that require consultation between central administrative agencies, rooftop signboards corresponding to advertisements of wide area characteristics, landowners' signs, and advertisements using transportation facilities. The method of displaying remaining advertisements not prescribed by this Act shall be determined by city/provincial ordinances.

Outdoor advertisements: The term "outdoor advertisements" means signs and digital advertisements (including those displayed on transportation facilities or means of transportation prescribed by Presidential Decree) that are always exposed to the public or continuously for a certain period of time and can be seen in places where the public freely passes (including those displayed on transportation facilities or means of transportation prescribed by Presidential Decree), signboards, banners, wallpapers, and leaflets (傳單) and other similar ones.

옥외광고물 분류(Classification of Outdoor Advertisements)는 옥외광고물법 시행령 제3조에 따른 옥외광고물의 분류로, 중앙행정기관 간 협의가 필요한 광고물, 광역적 성격의 광고물에 해당하는 옥상간판, 지주 이용 간판, 교통시설 이용 광고물 등 5종에 대한 표시방법이다. 이 법에서 규정하지 않은 나머지 광고물의 표시방법은 시·도 조례로 정한다.

옥외광고물: “옥외광고물”이란 공중에게 항상 또는 일정 기간 계속 노출되어 공중이 자유로이 통행하는 장소에서 볼 수 있는 것(대통령령으로 정하는 교통시설 또는 교통수단에 표시되는 것을 포함한다)으로서 간판ㆍ디지털광고물(디지털 디스플레이를 이용하여 정보ㆍ광고를 제공하는 것으로서 대통령령으로 정하는 것을 말한다)ㆍ입간판ㆍ현수막(懸垂幕)ㆍ벽보ㆍ전단(傳單)과 그 밖에 이와 유사한 것을 말한다.
