The All Science Journal Classification (ASJC) System is used in Scopus to classify journals and conference proceedings under four broad subject areas (life sciences, physical sciences, health sciences and social sciences and humanities) which are further divided into groups and 333 minor fields. In addition there is a class for multidisciplinary journals.
