Encyclopedia of Korean Folk Arts:Folk Dramas

The Korean folk drama dictionary deals with mask plays, puppet plays, and good plays, which were developed from rituals related to the lives of the Korean people and developed into entertainment.

Like folk plays, folk play dictionaries, which reflect the public's feelings of life, aspirations, and customs of the time, dealt with both civilian and professional entertainment, and systematically and comprehensively explained the games designated as intangible cultural properties.

우리 민족의 생활과 관련한 의례에서 발생되어 예능으로 발전한 연구 양식인 가면극과 인형극, 그리고 굿놀이를 민속극 사전에서 다루었다.

또한 민속극과 마찬가지로 대중의 생활감정과 염원, 당시의 풍습 등이 반영되어 있는 민속놀이 사전에서는 민간예능과 전문예능을 모두 다루었으며 무형문화재로 지정된 놀이에 대해서도 체계적이고 종합적으로 정리, 해설하였다.
