Encyclopedia of Korean Culture of Basic Necessities:Housing

The Encyclopedia of Korean Culture of Basic Necessities: Housing is one of the three volumes of the Encyclopedia of Korean Culture of Basic Necessities — comprising "Clothing," "Food," and "Housing" — and systematically and comprehensively organizes and explains the housing culture that has arisen from and been passed down through the everyday lives of the Korean people. Headwords are arranged in Korean alphabetical order (gana-da); however, a thematic table of contents is also provided so that the content can be browsed across ten major fields: houses, spaces, construction, household goods, rituals, tools, construction methods, building components, references, and terminology. The encyclopedia comprises 406 headword entries, approximately 5,500 manuscript pages, and around 850 photographs.
