Encyclopedia of Korean Folk Culture

It is a specialized encyclopedia for collecting Korean folklore, and is currently working on a compilation project by dividing the subject into eight major categories.

"The Korean Folklore Dictionary", "The Korean Folk Religion Dictionary", "The Korean Folk Literature Dictionary", "The Korean Folk Art Dictionary", "The Korean Living Dictionary", "The Korean Biological Dictionary", and "The Korean Folklore Social Dictionary" are collectively called the Korean Dictionary.

In addition, since 2021 we have been compiling the Encyclopedia of Korean Folk Symbols, a newly initiated project, and in 2024 we published a special edition of the Encyclopedia of Hallyu to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the compilation of the Encyclopedia of Korean Folk Culture.

한국민속을 집대성하기 위한 전문백과사전으로 주제를 크게 여덟 가지로 나누어 편찬사업을 진행 중이다.

"<한국세시풍속사전>, <한국민속신앙사전>, <한국민속문학사전>, <한국일생의례사전>, <한국민속예술사전>,<한국의식주생활사전>, <한국생업기술사전>, <한국민속사회사전>"을 통칭하여 <한국민속대백과사전>이라 한다.

이에 더해 2021년부터는 새로운 주제인 ‘한국민속상징사전’을 편찬하고 있으며 2024년에는 <<한국민속대백과사전>>편찬 20주년을 기념해 <한류문화사전> 특별판을 발간했다.
