Blockchain Technology Industry Classification

The Blockchain Technology Industry Classification was established to advance blockchain technology and increase social benefits, with the aims of supporting the development of foundational technologies, fostering a skilled workforce, conducting surveys to analyze policy effectiveness, and building a standardized classification framework. At the time of its enactment in 2018, the classification system was created by simply subdividing the Korean Standard Industrial Classification. In the first revision in 2025, it was reorganized into a three-tier detailed classification framework consisting of broad, medium, and narrow categories.

블록체인기술 산업분류(Blockchain Technology Industry Classification)는 블록체인 기술 발전과 사회적 편익 증대를 목표로, 원천기술 개발, 인력 양성 지원, 정책 효과 분석을 위한 실태조사 및 표준화된 분류체계 정립을 위해 마련했다. 2018년 제정 당시에는 한국표준산업분류를 기반으로 단순 세분화하여 분류체계를 작성하였고, 2025년 제 1차 개정에서 대ㆍ중ㆍ소 3단계 세분화된 분류체계로 개편하였다.
