WO2 Thesaurus

The WO2 Thesaurus is a validated, hierarchically organized list of keywords for the thematic indexing of (digital) sources from the period 1940–1945. The thesaurus contains terms related to events, places, concepts, and objects from the Second World War. The keywords are divided into several main categories, such as Persecution, Governance, Daily Life, Law, etc. In addition, the WO2 Thesaurus includes an extensive list of camps and ghettos in both Europe and the Dutch East Indies, including GPS coordinates.

"De WO2-thesaurus is een gevalideerde, hiërarchisch georganiseerde trefwoordenlijst voor de thematische ontsluiting van (digitale) bronnen uit de periode 1940-1945. De thesaurus bevat termen over gebeurtenissen, plaatsen, begrippen en objecten uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. De trefwoorden zijn verdeeld over een aantal hoofdgebieden als Vervolging, Bestuur, Dagelijks Leven, Recht, etc. Tevens bevat de WO2-thesaurus een uitgebreide lijst van kampen en getto's in zowel Europa als Nederlands Indië; inclusief GPS coordinaten."
