The Gale Marketing Thesaurus is a subset of the master Gale Business Thesaurus in the narrower domain of marketing. This includes terms related to sales, consumers, merchandizing, distribution, packaging, buying and selling, product development and introduction, and types of retailers. Marketing terms pertaining to specific types of products or industries are included. This thesaurus does not include terms dealing with advertising, which are in the Gale Advertising Thesaurus instead. All thesaural relationships (BT/NT, RT, USE/UF) are included, and some terms have scope notes. The thesaurus contains 550 preferred terms/concepts (2019) and is continually updated.
