Checklist Political Education

"In dieser Systematik sind die beiden Hauptaufgaben einer modernen politisch-sozialen Bildung enthalten: (1.) die Vermittlung und Reflexion von politischem und sozialem Wissen zum Zwecke der individuellen Urteils- und Meinungsbildung im Hinblick auf anstehende gesellschaftliche Aufgaben und Probleme sowie (2.) die Förderung und Unterstützung von Kompetenzen, Motiven und emotionalen Dispositionen für kompetentes und sozial verantwortliches Engagement und Handeln zur Bewältigung oder Lösung dieser Aufgaben und Probleme. Die Systematik folgt damit einer seit einigen Jahren empirisch beobachtbaren Entwicklungstendenz in der politischen Bildung, in der - wie in der außerschulischen Jugend- und Erwachsenenbildung generell - neben der Vermittlung und Verarbeitung von Informationen und Wissen die Entwicklung von Handlungskompetenzen, Motivation und sozialmoralischen Dispositionen an Bedeutung gewinnen."
