"Die Signatur der phy-Bücher setzt sich aus Grundsignatur und Individualsignatur zusammen. Die Grundsignatur wird von der Individualsignatur im OPAC durch '/' getrennt, auf dem Signaturaufkleber am Buch durch einen waagerechten Strich. Eine der Signatur vorangestellte '6' kennzeichnet die Mediothek als Standort des Werkes. (...) Die eindeutige Kennzeichnung eines Buches wird durch die Individualsignatur erreicht. Sie wird durch den Anfangsbuchstaben des Autors gefolgt von zwei Ziffern gebildet. Bei mehrbändigen Werken folgt dann nach '-' die Bandangabe. Existieren mehrere Auflagen des Buches wird die Auflage in Klammern angegeben."
