Das verarbeitete Material soll möglichst sämtliche hethitologische Literatur von Anbeginn, insbesondere aber seit Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts erschließen.\n\nDas Klassifizierungs- und Anordnungssystem entspricht dem der Systematischen Bibliographie der Hethitologie von V. Souček und J. Siegelová, das die Literatur in neun große Gruppen eingeteilt – Allgemeines, Archäologie, Schrift, Sprachen, Geographie, Soziales, Geschichte, Religion, Kulturgeschichte. Innerhalb dieser Gruppen erfolgt dann eine feinere Anordnung gemäß der thematischen Ausrichtung der zu behandelnden Werke mit dem Ziel, dass die zunehmenden Datenmengen übersichtlich sowie rasch und benutzerfreundlich zugänglich bleiben. Die vollständige Übersicht über die Klassifizierung ist aus der einleitenden Tabelle ersichtlich. Durch Anklicken der einzelnem im Dezimalschema gegliederten Links können die einzelnen Themen aufgeschlagen werden.\n\nEs gibt allerdings nur wenige Publikationen, die sich ausschließlich auf einen einzigen Problemkreis konzentrieren. Es ist ein großer Vorteil der elektronischen Verarbeitung von bibliographischen Daten, dass die Werke auf mehreren relevanten Stellen erfasst und durch Links nachschlagbar sein können. Die Grundeinteilung richtet sich jedoch selbstverständlich nach dem Hauptthema.
