Gale Religion and Philosophy Thesaurus

The Gale Religion and Philosophy Thesaurus is a subset of the master Gale Humanities Thesaurus. This thesaurus includes subject areas related to world religions, religious law, religious occupations and organizations, rituals and symbolism, morality, philosophers, reasoning, and philosophical thought. All thesaural relationships (BT/NT, RT, USE/UF) are included, and some terms have scope notes. The thesaurus contains 2,364 preferred terms/concepts (2019) and is continually updated.

Library of Avalon Classification System

"The Library's classification system is unique, having been devised specifically for its purpose by the Founders (who based it upon the Bliss system), and formally copyrighted in 1990. It provides far more subcategories than would the Dewey decimal classification system. It is entirely alphabetical, the first two letters being the category code, the remaining three being the first three letters of the author's surname (with precedence rules for such names as macDonald, tenEyck or duMaurier).

Die Fachsystematik der Bereichsbibliothek Religionswissenschaft verzeichnet in 17 Hauptklassen Themen der Religionen unterteilt in Kontinente und Religionsgruppen. Die Notationen bestehen aus einer dreistelligen Zahl.

The subject system of the Department of Religious Studies lists 17 topics of the religions divided into continents and religious groups. The notation consists of a three-digit number.

"El Diccionari de religions difon 1.604 denominacions catalanes que corresponen a 1.427 conceptes diferents. Cada terme s’assigna a una o més d’una de les tradicions religioses amb més presència a Catalunya (bahaisme, budisme, catolicisme, cristianisme ortodox, hinduisme, islam, jainisme, judaisme, protestantisme, sikhisme i zoroastrisme), a banda d’altres agrupacions que han semblat útils (esglésies lliures, noves religions, religions indígenes, religions de la Xina i el Japó). Alguns termes s’han assignat a àrees transversals com ara ciències de la religió i termes seculars.
