Vocabulaire des Sciences et Techniques Spatiales

"Ce vocabulaire fait partie d’une collection de vocabulaires thématiques édités par la Délégation générale à la langue française et aux langues de France, au titre du dispositif d’enrichissement de la langue française. Les différents vocabulaires rassemblent les termes et expressions recommandés par la Commission générale de terminologie et de néologie, qu’elle publie régulièrement au Journal officiel de la République française, en application du décret du 3 juillet 1996 relatif à l’enrichissement de la langue française.

Thesaurus of FAA Descriptors

"This edition, with 3,123 descriptors, includes new terms established since the last publication, in November, 1965. Further, it is presented in the format developed by Project LEX for the Thesaurus of Engineering and Scientific Terms, issued recently by the Department of Defense. The purpose of this thesaurus is to provide a definitive, working vocabulary for the field of civil aviation; its terms or descriptors serve as reference standards for the indexing and retrieval of information.

"The Hierarchical Listing With Definitions contains all subject terms and USE cross references currently approved for use, and displays the full hierarchical structure for each term along with a definition when available. In addition, the listing has been developed to serve as an orthographic authority for upper/lowercase forms of all terms and cross references. The term-added date, displayed for all terms added after April 1988, is also given.
