Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification: Type of Activity

"The Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC) is jointly produced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and Statistics New Zealand (Statistics NZ). ANZSRC is the collective name for a set of three related classifications developed for use in the measurement and analysis of research and experimental development (R&D) undertaken in Australia and New Zealand. The three constituent classifications included in the ANZSRC are: Type of Activity (TOA), Fields of Research (FOR), and Socio-economic Objective (SEO).

Joint Academic Coding System

"The Joint Academic Coding System (JACS) is owned and maintained by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and is used for subject coding of provision across higher education in the UK. JACS was first introduced in 2002/03 (UCAS year of entry 2002 and reporting year 2002/03 HESA) to replace the two different classifications systems previously used by the two organisations.

"El Thesaurus de la Universitat de Barcelona (THUB) és una eina que facilita la consulta per matèries al Catàleg perquè: normalitza la forma d'accedir als índexs de matèries; identifica sense ambigüitat el terme buscat; agrupa els documents del catàleg a partir de les formes acceptades. El THUB és el vocabulari estructurat i controlat que s’utilitza com a eina bàsica per a la indexació i recuperació per matèries de tots els recursos d'informació del CRAI de la Universitat de Barcelona.

The Thesaurus of the University of Barcelona (THUB) is a tool that facilitates the consultation by subjects in the Catalog because: it normalizes the way to access the indexes of subjects; unambiguously identifies the term sought; Group the catalog documents from the accepted forms. THUB is the structured and controlled vocabulary that is used as a basic tool for indexing and retrieval by subjects of all the information resources of the CRAI of the University of Barcelona.

Tesauro de la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara

"El 'Tesauro UAG' está basado en TEMATRES, que es un software libre para gestión de tesauros y en la estructura académica de la UAG, ya que se considera que son las áreas académicas y sus diversas facultades, escuelas, departamentos, grados académicos y materias las que solicitan y generan recursos de información con las que se desarrollan las colecciones de la Red de Bibliotecas, y que estas a su vez son la base para la enseñanza, el aprendizaje y la investigación en los diversos programas educativos de la UAG.

Classification of Instructional Programs

"The Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) provides a taxonomic scheme that supports the accurate tracking and reporting of fields of study and program completions activity. CIP was originally developed by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) in 1980, with revisions occurring in 1985, 1990, and 2000. The 2000 edition (CIP-2000) is the third revision of the taxonomy and presents an updated taxonomy of instructional program classifications and descriptions."

Die für die Fachsystematiken federführenden Bibliotheken nehmen diese Aufgabe nicht mehr wahr."

"1690 términos, 1615 descriptores, 2972 palabras clave (1356 diferentes), 75 términos no preferentes (USE), 17 relaciones de especificidad (NA), 1490 relaciones jerárquicas (TA/TE), 1074 relaciones asociativas (TR). El TES constituye un lenguaje documental aplicado al análisis de la información relacionada fundamentalmente con la gestión, planificación y política educativa, con un enfoque destinado a la educación superior y universitaria en particular.

"El VOCABULARIO CONTROLADO (VC) consiste en una lista normalizada de temas e identificadores. Está integrado por alrededor de 1,500 términos sobre diferentes aspectos del área educativa, que han compilados a lo largo de los 27 años de desarrollo del IRESIE. Constituye un instrumento de trabajo para la clasificación e indización de los artículos y documentos que ingresan a las bases de datos IRESIE y al Indice de Documentos de Educación (IDOCED).

It is composed of about 1,500 terms on different aspects of education, which have been compiled over the 27 years of IRESIE development.
