"Le thesaurus en éducation pour la santé a été élaboré à partir de la version 2 du thesaurus BDSP (Banque de données santé publique), utilisée à l’Institut national de prévention et d’éducation pour la santé et dans quelques comités d’éducation pour la santé. Ce thesaurus BDSP 2 comporte 5 200 descripteurs et présente de vastes possibilités d’utilisation dans des domaines comme l’épidémiologie, le soin ou encore les technologies de la santé. Cependant, il présente des lacunes notamment en éducation pour la santé et éducation du patient, en psychologie, en pédagogie et en sociologie.
